Walk, Wag, & Give Back — Help a Shelter Dog Today

What Are Shelter Outings?

At Winston-Salem Dog Care, we know how overwhelming a kennel stay can be for shelter dogs. That’s why we’ve partnered with the area shelters to create Shelter Outings—a program designed to ease stress, build confidence, and give these pups the enrichment they need to shine in their future homes.

On each outing, our team selects dogs who would benefit most from a break from the shelter environment. We take them on a one-hour adventure to a local park, where they can enjoy:

Afterward, the pup returns to the shelter relaxed, refreshed, and better prepared for adoption.

We will send each sponsor a report card after their outing is complete with pictures of the pet we cared for with their sponsorship.

Sponsor a Shelter Outing — Change a Life

Not everyone can adopt or foster, but everyone can help.

By sponsoring a Shelter Outing with Winston-Salem Dog Care and Forsyth County Animal Shelter, you give a dog:

  • A joyful break from the kennel

  • Help for staff to gain valuable insights to match them with the right family

  • Increased chances of adoption through community and social media exposure

One outing can change their day—and your support can change their life.

How Your Donation Helps

Every outing is made possible by your support, which directly benefits both the shelter dogs and the hardworking kennel staff. Together, we can give Forsyth’s shelter dogs a brighter, less stressful journey to their forever homes.
